First Friday Night Race - Never a Dull Moment!

The first Friday night race of the season is never a let down when it comes to action! We had 4 rollovers, tons of raffle prizes and many special moments remembering the late Warren Wampole.

Warren Wampole Memorial Trophy Dash Winners were:
Jacob Mabbitt in the Highway 60 Motors 12-18 Age Class.
Michael MacLean in the Sparklettes Water 6-11 Age Class.

Eric Kelley in the Beginner Class.
Thank You Trophy Girl Toni Wampole!

We had excellent driving in the Beginner's class by the 2nd year driver Eric Kelley pulling off a "hat trick" winning his Trophy Dash, Heat and Main Event! Way to go Eric!! In the Sparklette's Water 6-11 Age group Gavin Meeks made it look easy in his Main driving his green #85. Taeler Harmon nearly lapped the whole field in the Highway 60 Motors 12-18 Age Group.

Rollover victims made the field narrow quickly. During the Main Events Rookie Nicholas Curiel in his #11 kart had the need for speed and rolled over in turn 2, walking away a little shaken up but just fine. James Horner in the orange and purple #64 took a spill when a kart thought he was a speed bump, tipping him on his lid in turn 3. Dominique Johnson in her 57J took quite a spill and was shaken not stirred, having to have her kart carried off. And last but never least Jacob Mabbitt in his #28 kart thought it might be fun to try and bounce around on the tires in the infield and wound up on his lid in turn 2! First Friday night races are always fun and full of action.

We had honorary flagmen for the evening.

Thank you to the Wampole family for coming out and assisting us with the festivities. Thanks to Warren and his love for racing we have the association we do today. Hope to see you out at the track again soon and definitely next year for the 4th Annual Warren Wampole Memorial race.

Racing resumes tomorrow night, May 18th at 7pm. Gates open at 5pm, pill draw is over at 6:15 and races start at 7pm.
